I have always loved to draw and enjoy both plein air and studio drawing and painting.
I keep illustrated journals, recording the world around me, using broad pencil or watercolor. I love how watercolors can be mixed on wet paper and the beautiful infusions that result.
I enjoy drawing animals and have long practiced life drawing in various art groups. I often add figures and animals to my paintings to tell a story.
I like doing portraits of both people and pets. I strive to convey the personality and essence of the person or animal. I am available to create these on commission.
I continue to learn from others in classes and workshops and currently study watercolor with Dani Tupper.
I am a member of Delta Fine Arts and signature member of Western Colorado Watercolor Society.
I live, garden, paint, hike, fish and hunt in Western Colorado with my husband David and our pets.
